A restored 1950s train parked for good on the Selati rail bridge above the Sabie River, its glass-walled carriage suites hanging directly over the hippo pools of Kruger National Park. The pool deck juts off the bridge edge, and elephants cross beneath your bedroom floor. The catch: Top-of-Kruger pricing, and it sits beside Skukuza — the park's busiest camp — on a much-photographed landmark bridge, not in remote wilderness.
